White metal is melted onto 30926s eccentric strap. This is so that the problem of too much play in the eccentric strap can be cured. Once the white metal has cooled, the strap will be machined on a vertical boring machine to the correct diameter on refitted to the locomotives axle. 2008 Season |

With Ray Towell at the controls,4771 makes a truely awesome noise at it canters past Abbots house on its final run, the calculated weight of its train including 7 teak coaches and a shut off Super D on the rear came to approx 300 tons made for a truely incrediable noise, and not even a hint of smoke!!
